work at home <- -> follow-up |
Follow Up!
You have your prospect. They were interested in your ad as it was personalized to them. They contacted you because it was just so easy. You've treated your prospect with respect, and added value by making things so easy and smooth. Keep it up with your follow up! The worst thing you could do now is call them up and try to explain everything or try to sell them something. This ONLY gives them a reason to say no, trust me on this. Who likes telemarketing, raise your hand? Point and case. Over 50% of American home-owners are now on the National "Do Not Call List" which makes it illegal for telemarketers to call without consent. TAKE THE MESSAGE: No one likes telemarketing! Even if they "gave consent" it's still not a respectable method of advertising. Follow up politely and act more as a friend, not a shark out to get their commission. State who you are, and what company you are from. If they sound sketchy about you, say this is not a telemarketing call and you're not trying to sell them anything. Quickly add in that you are simply calling in follow up to their response to your ad-- be very sincere, articulate, and polite. My experience with this is every one of those prospects is GLAD to talk to me, I have never once received a complaint with this form of advertising.
10 magnificent ways to generate more orders
by Scott F. Geld 1. Produce e-books and make them available on your website at no charge. Ads for your product will get the attention of people as they read the e-books. 2. Form a Members Only section on your website and allow people to join it for free. Make the Members Only section an extra for one of your products. 3. Limit an area of your website to free classifieds. You can then exchange banner ads with other websites that have similar areas on their website. 4. Offer your e-zine with or without ads so people can choose the version they want. This way people who don't want ads will want to subscribe to your e-zine. 5. Publish your e-zine only on your web site. Have people subscribe to a "new issue" e-mail reminder. This could really increase your traffic and sales. 6. Include an offer for ad space in the packet containing your product. You could offer ad space in the form of inserts, flyers, brochures, booklets, and digital ads for electronic products. 7. Offer daily or weekly visitor bonuses. This will increase your repeat traffic and sales because your visitors will visit regularly to get the visitor bonuses. 8. Allow people to download software or e-books from your web site at no cost. Just ask your visitors in return if they'll refer their friends to your web site. 9. Offer your product for free for a limited time to people who sign up for your affiliate program. 10. Negotiate with e-zine publishers to get free or
discounted ads by letting them join your affiliate program and earn commissions on the ad you run. The author, Scott F. Geld can be reached for questions about this article at MarketingBlaster.com. His
