A blog is often a mixture of what is happening in a person's life and what is happening on the Web, a kind of hybrid diary/guide site, although there are as many unique types of blogs as there are people.
 
People maintained blogs long before the term was coined, but the trend gained momentum with the introduction of automated published systems, most notably Blogger at blogger.com. Thousands of people use services such as Blogger to simplify and accelerate the publishing process.
 
Blogs are alternatively called web logs or weblogs. However, "blog" seems less likely to cause confusion, as "web log" can also mean a server's log files.
 
1) How do I get my blog noticed?
 
Do searches on what your blog is about (can't get more specific as I don't know what it is about).
 
2) How can I promote SFI on my blog?
 
I would suggest adding a short paragraph about what YOU like about SFI (eg. nutritional supplements, vitamins, antioxidants and include your link with it.
 
3) What info can I add to my Blog?
 
The info that you add to your blog I would say is keep it in the theme of what you are writing about. Links to other sites that go with your topic, maybe even a few little know facts about your topic and keep it light, (short paragraphs, the use of quotation marks, etc).
 
4) Where can I submit my blog?
 
See the answer to #1 then once you have done that become even more creative about where you would like it to be added.
 
 
This is one type of advertising that I don't think too many people have used, as opposed to newsletters, ezines etc.
