You cannot add a banner to your gateway

Another series of questions that I have received quite a bit of interest in is banners. Many affiliates have emailed asking "How do I put a banner on my gateway website?" or "How do I get an SFI banner on my homepage?" or "I have an advertiser that will post 100,000 impressions of my SFI banner. How do I get a banner to give them?" Well, today we are going to address these questions, and by the end of this course you will all feel like banner experts.

First, let's talk about the Gateway pages. Everyone of you at this point have completed Smart Start and have your very own SFI Gateway pages - go to your Account page and look at all of them. When SFI creates a gateway page, such as the /FREE gateway page it only creates one version of it. How it becomes "your" gateway page is by the URL.

Each affiliate uses a slightly different URL to point to the same page. For example: http://www.quickinfo247.com/3335264/FREE.

Yours will have your own SFI ID, or it may say ezinfocenter rather than quickinfo247. However, they are both pointing to the same page on SFI's web server. What this means is that you don't have direct access to that page to change it. You can't add banners, change text or do anything else to it. The only changes you can make are through your Account area where you can personalize your name, phone, email etc. and have those added to the page.

So to answer your question about how to add a banner to your gateway page, sorry but you can't do it. I guess that leads me right into the next question which is "How do I add a banner to my homepage?" Ok, while this may sound like the exact same question, it is really totally different. Many affiliates have created a homepage of their own and have used it to either advertise SFI, their hobbies, or perhaps even other products or opportunities. In this case they have complete control over how that website is laid out and can add banners, text links or whatever they want.
