Ezines

Looks like we are well on our way in the quest for knowledge. Last time we discussed free classified ads, how to post them, where to post them, and I gave you a ton of great resources. So how many ads have you placed already? Remember, I told you that you will need to place AT LEAST 100 ADS a day to really see strong results. You won't be able to do this at first, but if you use the ad submission programs you will build up to that quickly. Not interested in that marketing method? That's ok, it's not for everyone. I think I've got something then today that will appeal to you, Ezines.
First of all, how many of you know just what an ezine is? An ezine is a regularly published electronic magazine or newsletter. Ezines are generally delivered to the subscriber through their email. Their content is usually based on a particular theme or topic of interest. Most of us, as internet business-people, subscribe to a number of different business or trade ezines that are centered around various tips on how to develop, promote, market or advertise our business. But we tend to forget that most of our customers out there are not other business owners (yet, but just wait till you get a hold of them), and that there is a much larger community of individuals out there each with their own hobbies and interests. Generally, in today's society, with the way the internet is expanding, those people are each subscribing to at least one or more ezines or newsletters that fit their areas of interest.
What makes ezines so great is that you know people are reading them. What better way to get your offer for your product or service in front of your potential customer, without having to worry about that word we all hate, SPAM! When it comes to advertising in ezines, prices will vary from free on up to $.05 or so per subscriber, depending upon the popularity of the ezine, and the actual location of your advertisement within the ezine. The ads found in the top position or solo ads usually cost more than those found within the body of the ezine, or at the bottom. Plus, most studies have shown that ezine ads have average response rates of 6-11%. Remember this though when you are dealing with ezine owners, there is very little to no incremental cost to include your advertisement in their ezine. This means that you have the leverage to bargain and negotiate. NEVER accept the posted or first price you are given, always try to work with the ezine owner. They may not budge, or you may get lucky and save quite a bit of money, you never know until you try.
