Avoid using submitters

Always keycode your urls: http://www.quickinfo247.com/yourID.akeycodefrom1-999 or http://www.ezinfocenter.com/yourID.akeycodefrom1-999 depending on the gateway you have been assigned to, so that you know which sites are productive.

More specifically, if I wanted to put the keycode "243" on my "free" Gateway the url would look like this:

http://www.quickinfo247.com/3335264.243/free

“How to get started for free”

A friendly advice: DON'T try to submit your ad to the major Search Engines' main site. It's a waste of time, because there's NO possibility for you to get listed there. Rather, you could perhaps get listed but soooo deep that no one would see your ad, not even yourself.

You could get listed to major SE on high positions only with a website of your own, but that's not our topic today. Don't worry about that for the time being, it is something we will discuss later. Getting to top positions on major SE has nearly become a “science” and as you may know, I have been on the Top 100 Sellers' List for a year non-stop without having EVER been listed on the major SE main sites. I decided very recently to "cool down", stop working too much on advertising and learn html to optimize my private website.

Another word of CAUTION: Even if you pay Yahoo their $300 annual fee, they won't accept your ad and you will lose your money, incredible, but that's the way they function! Yahoo is using humans, not spiders, to check on submitted sites. They won’t accept your website if it’s a SFI Gateway or a very simple personal site.

My next advice is “Avoid Using Megasubmitters” and don't trust anyone that promises you to “blast your ad to 1,000 or 1,000,000 sites”. They just only want to get your address and spam it with some 300 counter-offers daily. If you insist on trying this method, make sure you create a junk address for them otherwise your primary one will be ruined. Keep your primary address for SFI only - that's where you'll be getting new affiliates and sales. You DON'T WANT to be getting ANYTHING else at this address!

Another MAJOR DISADVANTAGE of submitting your ads through auto-submitters is that within the tons of the mentioned counter offers you will be getting, some very precious emails will be included. You will most probably delete those emails together with the other junk as it's very difficult to distinguish them or direct them to your inbox rather than to your junk mail.

These emails are sent by the few serious sites that need a confirmation from you, pretty much like SFI was asking you to double opt-in. They contain a link that you must click on to confirm that you really want your ad to be posted and if you don't, your ad will simply NEVER be added in their directory!

Please read how Kenjurni was submitting ads with no success. As soon as he discovered this mistake and confirmed a submission on a particular site he immediately got a prospect:
